Big Bash for Ben’s Birthday
Ben Franklin would have enjoyed his 300th birthday celebration, which drew a host of local celebrities and dignitaries to the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The Advanced team helped make this event one to remember, by working with the Ben Franklin Tercentenary committee and local producer EMC2, to provide the audio, video, and lighting support for the made-for-TV event. The sound system included 28 loudspeakers, audio feeds that went to local and national media, additional microphones to help deliver clear speeches, vocals, and music...and a comprehensive lighting design that ensured a dynamic, quality broadcast. A live video switch and projection support added closed circuit capabilities for the overflow crowd. All elements of the event and rehearsals were finished and ready to go ahead of the tight TV schedule.
