President and sole owner of Advanced Staging Productions, Steve has more than 25 years of experience in the event technology business. Since joining Advanced Staging Productions in 1988, Steve has used his organizational and customer service skills to create a mindset of excellence at Advanced Staging Productions, a corporate philosophy dedicated to helping you meet your event’s objectives. Passion, pride, honesty, and integrity are the foundation of Steve’s vision for Advanced Staging Productions.


Ryan McLaughlin, Vice President of Operations

Ryan joined Advanced Staging Productions in 1997 and brings 15 years of experience — both behind the boards and in the boardroom — to his role as operational leader and second-in-command of Advanced Staging Productions. He focuses on understanding and meeting your needs from the perspective of a technician, project manager, operations director and executive, using his expertise to help make sure your next event is everything you envisioned and more.


Kim Pagliaro Bussard, Account Executive

With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry — specifically in event management — Kim has hands-on experience in planning and executing flawless events. As a Sales and Marketing Executive, her passion, attention to detail and industry knowledge allows her to enjoy a loyal following of repeat customers. Her approach is to be an accessible, reliable partner with a promise to bring you exactly what you need, when you need it- and to always offer a fresh new option to make any event even better. Kim joined Advanced in 2013 and is focused on growing the Corporate, University, and Mid-Atlantic based business.



Jason Showers, Lighting Department Supervisor

Jason joined Advanced Staging Productions in 2002. A superb lighting designer, Jason brings a vision, creative flair and attention to detail to developing an integrated lighting solution for your event. By listening to your needs and understanding the result you want to achieve, Jason ensures that your lighting design brings your vision to life.


Nate Covey, Video Department Supervisor

Nate’s singular focus and demand for excellence serves him and our clients well, as he navigates the complex labyrinth of a well designed video system. Nate is a tenured employee here at Advanced Staging Productions bringing over 16 years of experience to the table.


Jim Cathers, Audio Department Supervisor

Joining Advanced in 2002, Jim is a classic success story with his passion for audio and his willingness to take on all challenges. He embodies the Advanced philosophy of customer service while executing at the highest technical level. His leadership and easy going demeanor make him a favorite among clients and staff alike.


Jeff Spence, Senior Event Technology Manager

Jeff has been coordinating and executing successful events at Advanced Staging Productions since 2003. A former hotel audio/video manager, video engineer and video freelancer, Jeff’s wide range of experience — attention  to detail and easygoing personality — is invaluable when handling the many facets of event management.


Paul Kennealy, Event Technology Manager

Paul joined Advanced Staging Productions in 2004 as a technician and became an Event Technology Manager in 2009. Always willing to go the extra mile to assist you with your event management needs, his can-do attitude is one of our team’s biggest assets.


Doug Deets, Event Technology Manager

Bringing nearly a decade of event technology management experience prior to joining Advanced Staging Productions in 2009, Doug started as a video engineer before quickly transitioning to event management. Doug is adept at managing events of every size. A team player, Doug’s goal   is to bring out the best in his team to ensure your complete satisfaction with our event management services.

Jason Simpson, Operations Coordinator

Jay joined Advanced in 2004 and quickly moved through the ranks to his current position as operations and logistics guru.  Responsible for inventory management, facilities, warehouse, transportation and show pulls, Jay’s attention to detail and ability to juggle numerous balls at one time is critical to the efficient delivery of our services.
