What Is Video Production?
Video Production in the simplest sense is the process of producing video content, but video production is much more than simply pressing the record button on your video camera. Advanced Staging Productions believes there is nothing more engaging to your audience than a compelling, authentic, and visual story through video content. Whether you need pre-recorded presentations, presenter video walk-ups, or brand videos to tell your unique story; Advanced Staging Productions’ team will be a part of the entire process from concept to completion.
The video production process can be broken down into three phases: Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. These phases include all aspects of video production, from the moment an idea is formed to the final released video for your brand.
Pre-Production
This is the first step in the planning process of creating an impactful video. In this phase it is all about preparation and setting the groundwork. This step involves all of the creative and planning needed to move forward with the production of your video. Here is where Advanced Staging Production will work through ideation, concept creation, story boards, style-guides, scripting, and scheduling. Lastly, budgeting is key in this step. This will help ensure the correct resources are acquired for your brand to tell its unique story. Pre-Production can be the most time-consuming part of the process, but is also the most important. This ensures the proper foundation has been set to develop an impactful video.
Production
Production is the step in which your ideas come to life. This is where your background ideas become the scenic backdrop to a script breathing life to your unique message with the cameras rolling. Depending on the size of the production, this phase could last a few days to a few hours. This step is often the most collaborative, involving talent from Advanced Staging Productions’ audio, lighting, and video departments. For locations, production may take place in our in-house studio or “on-location” for a more brand specific shoot. With the production phase, this can be the riskiest part of the process from budget overages, stress, scheduling issues, and creative and technical direction. This is where having an experienced management partner, like Advanced Staging Productions, makes the biggest impact.
Post-Production
Post-Production is usually the second-longest phase in the video production process. This step typically includes multiple stakeholders who will need to review and approve final edits to the video. Though Post-Production at the basic level can mean editing, there is much more that goes into this process from audio mixing, adding music, lower third titles, visual effects, animations, and color correction. Advanced Staging Productions’ editors will organize and carefully stitch together all of the assets collected during production to prepare the multiple versions to be reviewed for approval where they will layer in all the bells and whistles to bring your unique story together. Through this process our editors will work closely with you to ensure your vision comes to life while staying organized and sticking to your schedule.
Advanced Staging Productions’ goal is to make the video production process as smooth as possible with the Advanced Way. This is why we believe it is incredibly important to have a tailored approach to tell your brand story, and why a strategic partner like Advanced Staging Productions can help your message resonate with more people.
