Freelance Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Advanced Staging Productions is seeking Freelance Technicians with all levels of experience. We are a live events technology and management company outside of Philadelphia, PA. We provide A/V solutions to live events and corporate presentations.
We are looking for Freelance Audio, Video, and Lighting technicians for on-site support.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Position Expectations
- Set-up, operation, and striking of AV equipment
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
- Troubleshooting AV equipment and systems
- Altering venue arrangements according to layout diagrams
- Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment
- Meeting with Project Managers to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements
Audio Technician Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Proficiency in the following:
- Yamaha consoles
- Shure wireless microphones
- QLab multimedia playback software
- L-Acoustics, Adamson, and EV systems
- Wireless coordination
- Clear Com, RTS wired and wireless Com systems
- Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
Video Wall Technician Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years experience
- Proficiency in the following:
- Absen X5 and ESDLumen Dazzle III 2.9
- Novastar ProHD and 4K
- Rigging and power distribution
- Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
Safety and Certification
- Focused on life safety first
- Promotes safe work procedures
- Follows chain of command
- Follows venue guidelines
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Preferably with a technology related field and/or minimum 5 years of previous employment as an AV Technician for live events
- Follow all department and company policies
- Able to lift 50lbs when needed
- Able to work with others
- Valid Driver’s License
- Available to work nights and weekends as needed
- Available to travel
- A keen eye for detail
Video Technician Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Proficiency in the following:
- Barco Event Master
- Blackmagic ATEM
- Sony camera systems
- Panasonic 400 series camera switchers
- Christie, Panasonic, and Barco projection blending and stacking
- Media server program and operation
- Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
